Hailing from the home counties environs of High Wycombe, Coastal Cities are pleased to announce news of a new single 'Summer Reign' in October.
With the flickering embers of summer still in view, the youthful five piece Coastal Cities return with an infectious slice of summery-tinged pop wonder that tiptoes into earshot before inhabiting an almost blissed-out dreamy soundscape in memory of times past.
Declan(guitar/vocals), Sean (guitar) and Lewis (drums) met at school and on discovering a mutual love of eighties new wave aligned with a shared lethargy of the local music scene began practicing as a three-piece. The emergent Coastal Cities finalised their current line up with bassist Dan and William on keyboards, playing shows and making a name for themselves alongside like minded souls both locally and further afield
Unleashed from college the band have honed their sound with their live dates over the past few months revealing 'Summer Reign' as a triumphant set closer. Having decamped to the studio under the guidance of producer Hugh Worskett (Delphic), the band emerge armed with an alluring, somewhat compelling beauty of a track that encapsulates the band's sound today.
Mixed by Adrian Bushby (Two Door Cinema Club, The Rapture et al), 'Summer Reign' b/w 'Bad Dream' is released on October 28th through Once Upon A Time Records and available through all reputable outlets.
Meanwhile, the band will be playing as follows, with further shows tbc:
3rd High Wycombe Bucks SU (w/Eliza & The Bear)
7th London Old Blue Last ( w/As Elephants Are)
Over the past five years, Shia LaBeouf has gone from promising young actor to unemployable disaster and back again.
In Deepwater Horizon, Mark Wahlberg reteams with his Lone Survivor director Peter Berg.
The live album is set for released in November.
The movie begins filming in the UK.
