As Elephants Are follow debut single, 'War Cry' and Huw Stephens approved follow-up double A side 'Youth Blood' / 'Lucifer' with new single, 'Crystal' on 23rd September. The band have also performed their debut slot at this year's Reading and Leeds Festival, marking a further significant step in their story.
'Crystal' develops the band's ability to write nagging melodies wrapped in barbed wire rhythms and suggests a bright future for the four piece whose name is increasingly being heard in the right places.
The band also play the following dates across the UK in September and October.
Thursday 5th - Bath, Moles Club
Saturday 14th - Southsea Festival
Tuesday 24th - Leicester, The Cookie Jar
Thursday 26th - Norwich, Arts Centre
Friday 4th - Banbury, Also Known As
Monday 7th - London, Old Blue Last
Wednesday 9th - St Albans, The Horn
As Elephants Are formed in 2011 when Ben (vocals / guitar) and Harry (bass) enlisted old school friends guitarist Joe and drummer Rob to flesh out the songs they were writing. Debut single, 'War Cry' caught the ears of Xfm and Amazing Radio, both of whom playlisted it whilst follow-up double A side 'Lucifer' / 'Youth Blood' also found fans in Jen Long, Ally McCrae and Huw Stephens at Radio One with 'Youth Blood' introducing the band to European audiences via a track of the day from legendary French music mag Les Inrockuptibles.
