A group of revellers stormed through the event's White Ocean VIP camp, which had become the home away from home for celebrities like Nina Agdal, Katy Perry, and sisters Cara and Poppy Delevingne over the weekend (02-04Sep16), following a drug-fuelled festival rave.

Burning Man organisers claim the vandals cut electrical cords, glued doors shut and dumped hundreds of gallons of water throughout the site just before the event began on Friday.

The VIP camp, which was founded in 2013 by two New York City entrepreneurs, has never been popular among Burning Man regulars, who feel the extravagance is at odds with the hippie arts festival.

In a Facebook post, a spokesman for White Ocean says, "We actually had someone from the organization tell us that in paraphrase, 'It makes sense that you have been sabotaged as you are a closed camp and not welcoming'."
