Bringing into question the old saw about there being no such thing as bad publicity, Police in Burbank, CA, made aware that "Snoop Dogg" Calvin Broadus had been scheduled to appear Tuesday night on NBC's Tonight show (which tapes in Burbank), obtained a search warrant that allowed them to stop the rap singer/producer on his way out of the studio and search his vehicle. They later said that they found cocaine, "a large amount" of marijuana, and a firearm hidden in a false compartment. He was arrested and jailed. The website TMZ said that police had obtained the search warrant in connection with their investigation into his arrest at Hollywood-Burbank Airport this month after he allegedly tried to carry a gun onto a plane.
