Spanish opera star Placido Domingo has been advised to lose weight by his doctor following his health scare earlier this year (13).
The legendary tenor was admitted to a hospital in his native Madrid, Spain in July after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He was forced to pull out of a string of concerts and has spent the intervening months recovering.
He is now back at work but has been warned to slim down to improve his overall health.
Domingo tells Britain's Daily Express, "The doctor said 'Remember you are no longer 40 - you need to lose a bit of weight'. Life is sweet and sour and I've had my health issues but now I feel fine."
