Pixie Lott performed her new single, 'Kiss the Stars' on the UK morning TV show Daybreak yesterday. The 'Boys and Girls' singer wore a leopard-print dress over a long sleeves blouse as she sang her new synth-pop number, which bore some similarity to some of Katy Perry's newer tracks. Talking to the show's hosts, Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb, Pixie Lott spoke of how she had once auditioned for a role on Britannia High, where she met the singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. In a video posted on Capital FM's website, at the end of her performance, the hosts could be heard congratulating Pixie, with Dan Lobb saying it was "brill."

Both Pixie Lott and Ed Sheeran are nominees in this year's BRIT awards. Pixie has been nominated for Best British Single for 'All About Tonight', whilst Ed Sheeran stands a chance of winning awards for British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act (the same award that Pixie was nominated for two years ago). Pixie Lott recently celebrated her 21st birthday and Ed Sheeran was amongst her party guests in Shoreditch, London, as were JLS and, of course, Pixie's model boyfriend, Oliver Cheshire.

'Kiss the Stars is taken from Pixie Lott's second album, Young Foolish Happy, which was released in 2011. The lead single from the album, 'All About Tonight' was a number one hit in the UK and 'Kiss the Stars was officially released on January 29, 2012 and became Pixie's eighth top-ten hit.
