OSCAR PISTORIUS' LAWYER: 'HE IS DOING FINE' South African Paralympian OSCAR PISTORIUS is "emotional" but "doing well" following his arrest on a murder charge, according to his lawyer. The 26-year-old sprinter was held by cops and charged with gunning down his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria, South Africa in the early hours of Thursday (14Feb13). She was shot four times. Pistorius is due in court in the city on Friday (15Feb13), but his lawyer William Booth spoke out on Thursday to tell fans the athlete is bearing up. He told reporters in South Africa, "He is doing well. Obviously emotional but he is doing fine, guys." Pistorius' father Henke Pistorius told the country's SABC radio, "It will be extremely obnoxious and rude to speculate (on the incident). I don't know the facts. If anyone makes a statement, it will have to be Oscar. He's sad at the moment." Initial reports suggested the 30-year-old model let herself into the property as part of a Valentine's Day surprise and Pistorius took aim after mistaking her for a burglar, but local cops dismissed the explanation and revealed officers have previously been called to the track star's address over "allegations of a domestic nature".
