* BROWN RELEASED ON $50,000 BAIL OVER ALLEGED FELONY BATTERY R&B singer Chris Brown has been freed on bail following police talks in connection to an alleged domestic violence felony battery, according to U.S. reports. The 19 year old posted $50,000 (£34,250) bail on Sunday (08Feb09) evening, according to It follows an incident in the early hours of Sunday morning in which Brown and an unidentified woman were involved in a heated row in a vehicle in Los Angeles. According to a police report, After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker. Police received a 911 call reporting the disturbance. When officers arrived they found the victim, but Brown had already left the scene. Brown turned himself in to cops at a Los Angeles police station later on Sunday. According to law enforcement records, Brown was taken into custody at 6:30 p.m. and was officially booked at 7:41 p.m. for making criminal threats. Brown posted the bail amount and was released at 8:35 p.m., reports On Saturday night (07Feb09), Brown and girlfriend Rihanna - who were both scheduled to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (08Feb09) - attended music mogul Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.
