Nu Skool Brits Bloc Party (formerly known as Angel Range and the Union) , featuring lead singer Kele Okerek, had their debut performance in Las Vegas, Nevada in the newly opened Pearl Concert Theater located inside The Palms Casino Resort. Known worldwide for their unique alternative indie music style, Bloc Party’s debut album, Silent Alarm, sold more than one million copies and was named Album of the Year in 2005 by British Music Weekly. This album remained on the UK charts for 69 weeks and the band received similar tributes throughout Europe and Japan. "A Weekend in the City" is their new album released this year. Singer/guitarist, Russell Lissack, bassist/singer Gordon Moakes, and Matt Tong drummer rounds out the group. - Wednesday 13th June 2007
