BLOOD ART Artist Rich Clarke is auctioning... - Friday 23rd March 2007

BLOOD ART Artist Rich Clarke is auctioning off a collection of very different celebrity portraits – they are all painted with pigs blood. The collection includes a painting of Kate Moss and Pete Doherty – himself a blood artist – Tony Blair, David Beckham, Paris Hilton and Gordon Ramsay. The paintings were insprired by US TV drama Dexter – which follows a serial killer working for the police and analysing blood at crime scenes. Clarke was commissioned by FX Channel to create the artworks to coincide with the launch of Dexter, and to publicise the UK's National Blood Service. The paintings will be auctioned on eBay and all proceeds will go to the NBS. (IG/PR/MEH) CELLMATES TREATED TO UNMASKED PARIS Paris Hilton's inmates were treated to the sight of the party girl without the gloss - during her brief spell behind bars she was banned from wearing make-up, dying her hair blonde and using the blue contact lenses that hide her naturally brown eyes. Fans of the socialite haven't had the chance to see Paris as nature intended - since she was a teenager she has bleached her naturally brown hair peroxide blonde and worn the bright blue lenses, to give her the perfect Barbie-doll look - until she checked into Los Angeles' Century Regional Detention Center on Sunday, and was forced to go au naturel. It's surprising any of the criminals recognised her. (IG/WN/SH) Paris Hilton Perez Hilton's Birthday Ball at the Roxy West Hollywood, California - 23.03.07 (3 images)
