Thursday and Tom Hanks - Saturday 1st April 2000

* DAVE CLARK FIVE STAR DEAD British group THE DAVE CLARK FIVE have been rocked by tragedy just 10 days before they were to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame - frontman MIKE SMITH has died. A source at the Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, tells RollingStone.com that Smith, 64, was found dead on Thursday morning (28Feb08). Reports suggest Smith died of pneumonia in London. Smith was to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with his bandmates on 10 March (08). The Glad All Over singer was left partly paralysed following a fall at his home in Spain in 2003. As previously reported by WENN, Tom Hanks will induct The Dave Clark Five into the Hall Of Fame.
