Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars has been suffering nightmares for eight months about his band's headlining slot at the Coachella festival in California on Saturday (13Apr13) because he fears it could be a repeat of a disastrous 2006 set.
The French singer admits his nerves have been getting the better of him ever since he and his bandmates signed on to headline the desert festival.
He tells Filter magazine, "You're so nervous at Coachella, so many things can go wrong. I have nightmares... It's been, like, eight or nine months now, almost every night."
He has good reason to worry - Mars still cites the band's 2006 appearance at the festival as his worst gig: "(It was) one of the worst memories we've ever had."
