The New York apartment where Philip Seymour Hoffman died from a drug overdose has been rented just a day after it was put back on the market. The Oscar winner's two-bedroom, fourth-floor unit at Pickwick House in Manhattan's Greenwich Village was made available on Thursday (27Mar14) for $10,500 (£6,563) a month, but it was immediately snapped up and was listed as rented by Friday (28Mar14). The actor was found dead at the pad on 2 February (14).
