LATEST: Music producer Phil Spector attempted to rape female friend DIANNE OGDEN at gunpoint in 1989, a Los Angeles court heard yesterday (07May07). Spector is currently standing trial for the fatal shooting of actress Lana Clarkson, whose body was found slumped in his Alhambra, California mansion in February 2003. Spector has pleaded not guilty and claims Clarkson committed suicide. Music talent co-ordinator Ogden claimed Spector started behaving "demonic" following a party at his Pasadena, California mansion in 1989. Ogden said, "He was screaming at me, the F-word. He wasn't my Phil, not the man I loved. It wasn't him. He was demonic. It scared the hell out of me." When asked if Spector had sexual intercourse with her that night, Ogden replied, "He didn't have to do that, he could have been romantic but he did it by gunpoint. He wanted to rape me. I don't know why he was doing this. "He had me take off some of my clothes, and he tried to have intercourse with me. It was just 'icky' because it wasn't him. I didn't want to make to love with him like that, with him telling me he was going to blow my brains out. That was not romantic to me." Ogden said the following day Spector was in a jovial mood and acted like nothing had happened. She said, "It was weird. I started wondering 'Did I just dream that?'" Ogden said she didn't report the alleged incident to police because she thought it was a one-off. Ogden's testimony follows that of Spector's ex-girlfriend Dorothy Melvin, who earlier on Monday claimed the producer threatened her with a gun and hit her across the head 14 years ago. The trial continues.
