LATEST: Phil Spector's former chauffeur has testified the music producer confessed to Lana Clarkson's murder in February 2003. Brazilian Adriano De Souza told Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (15May07) Spector told him, "I think I killed somebody," just minutes after the actress died in his Alhambra, California mansion. De Souza testified he was sitting outside Spector's mansion when he heard a loud "pow!" Spector then emerged from a side entrance to the building, holding a gun and covered in blood. When questioned over the producer's exact words on 3 February 2003, De Souza told prosecutor Alan Jackson, "He said 'I think I killed somebody.'" The chauffeur then told the court Spector shrugged his shoulders when De Souza asked him what had happened. The driver revealed he then spotted the dead actress' legs in the hallway of the house. Spector is accused of fatally shooting Clarkson. He has pleaded not guilty and claims Clarkson committed suicide. The trial continues.
