Convicted murderer Phil Spector has a new home - he's been transferred from his Los Angeles prison cell to another 100 miles (160 kilometres) away near Bakersfield, California.
The shamed music producer was convicted of killing actress Lana Clarkson in April (09) and was sentenced to 19 years to life last week (29May09).
He has been spending time behind bars in Downtown L.A. since he was found guilty of second-degree murder, but he was moved to North Kern State Prison on Friday (05Jun09), reports TMZ.com.
Spector will remain at the new incarceration centre until authorities decide where he should serve out his sentence, which could be anywhere up to six months.
