Seven Iranian youths who posted video footage of themselves dancing to Pharrell Williams' hit Happy online have been sentenced to suspended jail terms.

The group was arrested in May (14) and charged with ignoring performance laws.

Their defence lawyer Farshid Rofugaran has revealed the seven young men and women have been sentenced to six months in jail and 91 lashes each - but they won't be punished unless they commit crimes and are found guilty in the future.

One of the defendants also received another suspended sentence of six months over charges of possessing alcohol, which is banned in Iran, according to RollingStone.com.
