LORD ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER wept onstage yesterday (10OCT06) when he received a standing ovation at THE Phantom Of The Opera's 20 year celebration in London's West End. Joining him on stage at Her Majesty's Theatre in the British capital was his ex-wife Sarah Brightman - the first actress to play the musical's heroine CHRISTINE. His ex's entrance shocked the composer, saying, "I didn't even know she was going to turn up. Without Sarah there would be no Phantom of the Opera - my absolute beloved mentor for the show." But Webber, who wrote the musical for Brightman, seemed to let the occasion get to him by absentmindedly revealing he hadn't seen Brightman in 18 months - only for his ex-wife to interject saying, "Andrew, we had lunch last week."
