Petra Nemcova and Jamie Belman have called off their wedding, which was planned for June this year.
Petra Nemcova has ended her engagement to Jamie Belman.
The supermodel and the actor made plans to tie the knot after a whirlwind eight-month romance in January 2011, and their ceremony had been planned for June this year.
A statement for Nemcova's agency, Next Models, read: ''Petra Nemcova and Jamie Belman confirm their separation. They remain close friends and thank their families for their continued support during this time. There will be no further comment on the matter.''
Petra had been due to wear a Marchesa wedding dress, which she had picked out in summer last year, at the ceremony.
The Czech-born model survived the 2004 tsunami in Thailand, which tragically claimed the life of her then-boyfriend, photographer Simon Atlee.
She has since founded a charity, Happy Hearts, dedicated to
helping improve education for children living in disaster-stricken areas.
She said since that time she also started living life more fully.
She said: ''I used to work all the time, and now if there is a wedding, there's a concert, I'm there.''
