Film-maker Peter Jackson has been signed up by computer giant Microsoft to create an Xbox game. The director - celebrated for his digital wizardry in giant ape film King Kong - will produce a series based on the Halo video game franchise, but admits he's still not sure how it will work. He says, "Technology is at a point where we can blend a lot of film storytelling with interactive entertainment. "We are right on the threshold of a new way of telling stories... (but we still need to) work out how to do it." The announcement was made at a convention in Barcelona, Spain, yesterday (27SEP06).
