Veteran rocker Peter Frampton's classic tracks are set to be revamped for a ballet in Cincinnati, Ohio next year (13).

The musician has teamed up with officials at the Cincinnati Ballet to stage a production at the Aronoff Center for the Arts in April (13), featuring choreography to songs from Frampton's discography.

The Baby, I Love Your Way hitmaker is also penning new music for the third and final segment of the show with his longtime collaborator Gordon Kennedy.

He tells, "We've been working on this for the last month, and we're about three-quarters of the way through the 20 minutes. I love dance. I love ballet. All my girls went through that, so, yeah, I'm very excited about it."

Frampton will be performing all of the tracks live with his band during the show and the rocker admits he's nervous about bringing the production to the stage - but he hopes it will eventually lead to jobs scoring movies once he's retired from touring.

He says, "I like things to scare me a little. It's always good to do stuff that just push the envelope for you. I'm just looking to stretch myself. It's on my way to film music, hopefully, one day when I don't want to go on tour."
