Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage took a moment during his Golden Globes acceptance speech to remember a friend left partially paralyzed after a pub altercation in his native England.
Martin Henderson was celebrating his 37th birthday in October (11) when a drunken thug picked him up and threw him to the ground as part of an unwelcome dwarf-tossing challenge.
Henderson, an aspiring actor who is just over four feet tall, landed on his back and suffered nerve damage and now has to walk with crutches and braces.
Police are still looking for the man who caused Henderson injuries and Dinklage made sure Hollywood was aware of the tragic story by mentioning his pal at the Globes on Sunday night (15Jan12).
As he took to the stage to pick up his Best Supporting Actor prize for Game Of Thrones, Dinklage told the crowd, "I wanna mention a person I'm thinking about in England. His name in Martin Henderson. Google him."
