Rock legends Pete Townshend, Paul Weller and Mick Jones will head up a glitzy tribute concert for late SMALL FACES star RONNIE LANE.

The benefit - which will be staged at London's ROYAL ALBERT HALL - will also feature former SEX PISTOLS star Glen Matlock and ROLLING STONE RONNIE WOOD.

Proceeds of the event, set to take place on 8 April (04) - will go to Lane's family. The ITCHYCOO PARK bassist died in 1997 after suffering with muscular sclerosis for many years.

After the Small Faces split, Lane joined the line-up of the FACES alongside Wood, Rod Stewart, KENNEY JONES and IAN McLAGAN. Stewart is the only bandmate not to join the prestigious bill.
