The musician, who performed with bands including Lefthand and The Lipstick Melodies, passed away last week (ends26Apr15). He was in his mid-30s.

Online rumours suggest he suffered a heart attack following an incident in which he fell through a window.

Wass was best known for his song Hired Gun, which was often performed live by his rocker pal Pete Doherty. In 2011, he narrowly avoided a jail sentence when he was convicted of possessing crack cocaine after police investigating the death of filmmaker Robyn Whitehead found film footage of Wass and Doherty smoking the drug.
