Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has started work on his first solo album - but insists the LP won't affect his career with Babyshambles. The singer, 28, is thrilled with the new songs he has recorded but has reassured fans the album won't spell the end for his band. He says, "It doesn't conflict with Babyshambles at all. It's just a continuation of what I do. "I've always done solo recording but instead of just knocking it out on the Internet like I used to, I'm getting a little album together." Doherty - whose drug habit forced him to leave his previous band The Libertines in 2004 - has yet to decide on a title for the forthcoming record which is due for completion later this year (08).
