British pop star Perrie Edwards has credited her Little Mix bandmates with helping to get her relationship with singer boyfriend Zayn Malik back on track following allegations he cheated on her with an Australian waitress.
The One Direction hunk hit headlines in January (13) when Courtney Webb claimed she slept with the star at his London home after meeting him in a nightclub.
Malik flew back to Britain from France to be with Edwards following the revelations, and the beauty insisted in the aftermath of the scandal that she was "totally fine".
Edwards, who found fame with Little Mix on the U.K. version of The X Factor, has now revealed her bandmates helped her through the drama and she is adamant her romance with the What Makes You Beautiful singer is going well.
She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "The best part about being in a group is having each other for support. The girls are like my sisters and always look out for me. They have helped me through what has happened.
"I try not to let what I read in the paper get to me. But I still read things and I think 'That didn't happen.' But as long as me and the rest of the girls know it's not true, that's what matters. We laugh about things and refuse to let it get to us.
"Things are all good (with Malik). We've all had to manage relationships in the band... dealing with it and making time for our boyfriends. Zayn is my best friend and I've seen more of him since we finished our tour and but it's hard as One Direction have been on tour as well. But we went to The Brits together last month and had a great time."
However, Edwards is facing another personal problem - her grandmother is battling ill health.
She adds, "My Nan has bone cancer and it's been recurring over the past few years. She was unwell before the X Factor but she was always rooting for me throughout the show. She got a bit better but has been unwell again recently. It has been really hard but she is a little fighter."
