The European beauty lost her battle with breast cancer in Madrid on Monday (23Jan17).

The sad news was confirmed in a family statement, which reads: "Bimba Bose has died this morning surrounded by her loved ones after a long, brave and heroic fight against cancer. The family asks to respect their privacy in these difficult times and thanks everyone for their support."

The Nena singer's famous uncle, entertainer Miguel Bose, paid tribute to her on social media, writing: "Have a good trip Bimba, my accomplice, my partner, my love, my dear daughter. Guide me."

Miguel and his niece collaborated a decade ago on his 2007 song Como un lobo.

Laura Pausini and Alejandro Sanz have also paid their respects to the late star on social media.

Bose was a co-founding member of the group The Cabriolets.

She appears in Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar's new movie Julieta.
