Last week (ends13Dec15), bassist Jeff Ament and band manager Kelly Curtis confirmed in a Twitter.com question-and-answer session that the band will be heading out on a U.S. tour next year (16), and they plan on making the annual Manchester, Tennessee event one of their big stops, according to Consequence of Sound.

The performance will mark their first appearance at Bonnaroo since 2008, when their set was followed by Kanye West's disastrous gig.

The Stronger rapper blamed Pearl Jam's elongated set, as well as logistical complications, for his delayed concert, which didn't start until 4.30am.

West, who was one of the headliners, made thousands of fans wait hours for his performance as the set-up took longer than expected, and by the time he walked onstage, his fans' patience had snapped and they booed the rapper during his set.

The 2016 Bonnaroo Festival will take place from 9 to 12 June (16).
