Peaches Geldof has been accused of stealing beauty products from UK high street store Boots. The 22-year-old daughter of Sir Bob Geldof was apprehended by staff after pocketing mascara, foundation and eyeliner from the Regent Street branch in Central London on Friday (21st October 2011), according to the Sunday Mirror.
It was claimed Peaches had been stuffing make-up into a yellow bag from Selfridges, where she had spent the afternoon shopping. The most expensive item recovered from the bag was a tube of foundation, worth around 13 pounds. As she attempted to take off with the goods, Peaches was stopped by an 'undercover detective' and forced to hand over the cosmetics. Although staff chose not to call the police, the socialite was banned from entering the premises again. It's the latest accusation of shoplifting aimed at the 22-year-old - back in March she was accused of taking clothes from a retro clothes store in Bristol and in 2007 she set off security alarms by walking out of a store wearing a coat which still had the tags inside. A spokesperson for Peaches is yet to comment on the story, and a Boots spokeswoman noted, "Unfortunately, we are not able to comment on individual customer circumstances".
Earlier this year, Geldof presented a six part Itv2 chat show style series entitled 'Omg with Peaches Geldof'.
