Paul Weller has been speaking about reinstating some classic Jam songs to his set at his solo gigs.
The Modfather has steadfastly refused to play any of his former band's material in the past, but surprised fans by playing Eton Rifles at a recent London gig.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, the 50-year-old explained that his attitude toward his older songs has changed as he has got older.
"Sometimes you need some kinda of opening really, for me anyway, to play some of these old songs. I think about them in a different way these days," he said.
"For a while I couldnt play some of the old songs, I just couldnt get my head around it and now I can sort of play them against the new songs and it sounds alright to me, it sounds ok."
Weller's recent double album 22 DREAMS went straight to number one after being release in June.
