Rocker Paul Weller is putting his clothes obsession to good use by launching his own menswear range.
The former The Jam frontman has teamed up with Phil Bickley, the owner of British clothing store Tonic, to produce fashion label Real Stars Are Rare.
Weller, who admits he became addicted to good clothes when he was 12 years old, is adamant his menswear range is not intended to lead the fashion pack, telling The Times Magazine, "It's not like we are reinventing the wheel or anything. It's not fashion particularly. They've got a bit more longevity. Classic things. Nice clothes. Nice garments."
Weller's line, which includes knitwear, tailoring, shirts and accessories, launches on 23 September (14).
