The LADY MARMALADE singer, an ardent supporter of Democratic nominee Senator John Kerry, admits she "can't even think about" the idea of Bush getting sworn in for another four years.
She says, "I'm going to cry a lot, but I know that's not going to happen, because too many people have come out of the sleep that they've been in."
She acknowledges that she was in a sleep herself, as far as voting was concerned, for years. "I've not always been a voter. I started when (BILL) CLINTON was running for man of the year. As far as I'm concerned, I wish he could have stayed another eight (years)."
But she doesn't feel the same way about Bush.
She adds, "As far as we're concerned, people are accepting a phoney president. Having those kids go over and getting killed (in the war in Iraq)... I don't approve of that at all."03/11/2004 02:30
