The pair wed in 1997 and they had a son, Lennon, together but split in 2000 after just three years when the Lethal Weapon 2 star finally walked away.
But Kensit still pined for Gallagher and agreed to do a topless shoot for Britain's Arena magazine in the hope it would grab his attention.
In an excerpt from her biography, Absolute Beginner, printed in Britain's Daily Mirror, she writes, "I regretted walking out almost immediately. I think he had moved on while I still had feelings for him, and my heart was broken into a million pieces.
"I didn't know who I was at that point and I hate the photos. I had breast implants at the time, which I subsequently had removed. Everything I did in the last 18 months of marriage was about trying to get Liam's attention."
Kensit also reveals rocker Chrissie Hynde warned her that Gallagher would cheat: "She said, 'Patsy, you do realise he's gorgeous and his band is about to be the biggest thing in rock 'n' roll. There will be so much temptation coming his way, how could he not screw everybody!'
"I'd heard all the rumours about his womanising and I knew exactly what was going on behind my back. Liam was very young and I could also see the temptations surrounding him. I wasn't naive about how intoxicating it can be - and it was all new to Liam."
