Socialite Paris Hilton's $30 million (GBP16.6 million) lawsuit against an internet company that distributed her infamous sex tape, has been thrown out of court.
On Friday (09JUL04) a Los Angeles judge dismissed the invasion of privacy suit filed by The Simple Life reality TV star against Panama City, Florida-based KAHATANI LTD.
The video, suggestively titled ONE NIGHT IN PARIS, made Hilton and her ex-boyfriend RICK SALOMON household names when it was leaked onto the internet in November 2003 - over two years after it was filmed in May 2001.
In legal papers, Hilton claimed the video was "intended only for personal use".
Yesterday (12JUL04) website NEW YORK DAILY NEWS reported Hilton had settled a legal battle with Salomon and porn film company RED LIGHT DISTRICT VIDEO for over $400,000 (GBP215,000) and a percentage of the video and DVD sales.13/07/2004 09:24
