Pamela Anderson has a reputation for being somewhat of a bad girl across in America, with a string of high profile relationships and affairs as well as stripping for Playboy Magazine at the height of her fame in the 90s. However, all that looks set to change as it's been announced that the 44 year-old will be playing the Virgin Mary - a surely intended irony.
The 44 year-old ex-'Baywatch' actor and model will be appearing in the role as part of the Ctv network's Christmas special starring comedian Russell Peters, reports Digital Journal, who will be starring as her husband Joseph. Other stars apparently included are singer Michael Buble, Scott Thompson, Faizon Love and Jon Lovitz in a program billed as 'A Russell Peters Christmas Special'. A press release made available by the network said, "Inspired by the variety shows of yesteryear, Peters puts his own irreverent twist on the Christmas special, making it unlike anything viewers have seen before".
Let's hope so for Anderson's sake - the blonde bombshell hasn't been known for her profile roles of late, appearing in various incarnations of reality show 'Big Brother' in no less than three countries - Australia, India and the Uk - though she has found more fame again in the US after appearing in 2010's 'Dancing With The Stars'.
