Providing a platform for artists to break into new dance related genre

The Network

Four years of collaborations with some of the industries biggest names have created a cutting edge & multi faceted organisation. The Voodoo Vinyl Remix Network [VVRN] is primarily involved in the business of providing a platform for artists to break into new dance related genres. It is also the driving force behind the Voodoo Vinyl Record label.

Music - The Voodoo Vinyl Remix Network
The Artists and Labels

It comprises some of Europe's most influential & in demand remix outfits. Our acts have produced remixes amongst others for Boy George, The Human League, TommyBoy Records (NY), Sony, Warner Music & EMI as well as recording DJ sets for Carl Cox & Pure Mix. Each Voodoo Vinyl artist is carefully chosen according to production quality and each specialize in one or more genres.

How It Works

The client provides us with an original track (incl. all samples) on CD. We then post the request on VoodooVinyl.com as a new remix project. Our artists/labels tender their remixes in a pre-defined time period. The client chooses their preferred remix & the chosen remixer receives a predetermined fee. All remix projects are undertaken on a contractual basis.

Benefits

With the completion of a remix, the client not only gains exposure in several dance markets but they also have the option of having their completed remix released on Voodoo Vinyl Records. Our licensing divisions will also go to great lengths to license the remixed track to the advertising & film industries, where one sensibly priced agreement is all that is necessary to clear the music for global use.

Past Successes

VV001 (Chained / Like getting High) and VV002 (Get Away) are the first two products to be released from artists on the remix network and both have enjoyed much club radio & dance chart success in the UK, US, Europe, South Africa & and Australasia.

Completed Remix Projects

Client feedback and reviews of previously completed remix projects are showcased below:

"I think SiFi's mix has added to it while staying close to the original from a structural point of view, which is what I was looking for. When I originally came up with the song I was thinking of something which would be radio friendly as well as good on the dance floor, so SiFi is the one I want to go for."

"I thought the direction that Sugarpussy took was really interesting, I really liked what they did with the vocals and it's the most hi-fi sounding from a sonics point of view. It would make a good alternative mix if released."

"The Giorgio Moroder bass line feel on NathanMas' mix is cool, and also the space in the mix is nice. It's not my favourite of the three mixes, but it's still cool."

"I like the direction that Karol @ Loco Records has taken this remix, a real techy groove which would get any dance floor grooving; another good alternative mix if it got released."
