With such a life enhancing title to their latest release it is no shock to find that this Ontario based band pigeon holed into the post grunge category. Front man, Adam Gontier dares people who compare them to Nickelback to attend one of their gigs, but warns that you may need an anaesthetic to remove a guitar if you do. However, Chad Kroeger’s band is the natural comparison along with Staind for this angry and slightly cynical track, featuring terse lyrics;

Music - Three Days Grace - (I Hate) Everything About You (Music For Nations)

“By every sigh and scream we make.
All the feelings that I get, but I still don’t miss you yet.”

The B-side ‘Are You Ready?’ is another emotion packed post grunge number that leans further towards Staind than the previous offering, particularly in the vocal department. The single is completed by the self-loathing ‘Burn’, which is the darkest and heaviest offering of the three, with repetition of the line;

“Did you come here to watch me burn?”

Three Days Grace certainly wear their heart on their sleeves and their ripping guitar riffs help to portray the emotions in their songs, but there is no shortage of bands with high pitched guitars and bleak lyrics out there at the moment, so a life enhancing anthem is perhaps what they may need to survive in this cut and thrust music business.
