All mapped out

In 2004, the Departure made their live debut in a pub in Northampton and were later signed to Parlophone records!

The Departure is 5 guys to watch out for!!!

They seem to be influenced by the Brit-pop sound and have been compared to Franz Ferdinand! Not surprisingly because the lead singer, David Jones, has the vocal arrangement of their lead singer Alex Kapranos! However some say that they sound a lot like the Cure!? Up to you…

“All mapped out” is quite a sleazy song – talking about relationships and passion. The song tests the listener and has jumpy guitar beats and for such a young band, they’re set to make a storm in the charts!

With a band name like The Departure they’re sure to take off in 2005/2006!

The guys will be performing all over Europe this summer, here’s just a few to get down to:

15 Jun 2005 .... Northampton, Black Bottom Club
18 Jun 2005 .... Oxford, Christ Church College Ball
19 Jun 2005 .... Middlesbrough, Music Live Free Festival
25 Jun 2005 .... Glastonbury Festival, John Peel Stage
26 Jun 2005 .... Nijmegen, Holland, Rockin Park Festival
7 Jul 2005 .... Manchester, High Voltage at Music Box
9 Jul 2005 .... Dublin, Oxygen Festival NME stage
10 Jul 2005 ....Balladoo, T in the Park NME stage

The new album “Dirty words” was out on 13 th June 2005.
