With THREE EXCLUSIVE HEADLINE PERFORMANCES over the weekend, the twin sites of Richfield Avenue in Reading and the stunning Bramham Park in Leeds are the only place to be this summer for the dedicated music fan.

This year’s headliners are three of the biggest names in rock and, as ever, are sure to be the sets of the summer at the Reading and Leeds sites.

With their ONLY CONFIRMED UK DATES and ONLY UK FESTIVAL DATES, the return of PIXIES to a venue that they made their own with their stunning headline performance in 1990 is a very special moment. The reformed four piece, one of the indisputable titans of the alternative music scene, have seen their band receive the acclaim from the public that was always its’ due and last year’s show at The Forum saw them take to the stage unaffected by the passing of time. Armed with a host of classic tunes and not diminished by the years this is YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO SEE PIXIES IN THE UK THIS YEAR and who knows when the next chance will arise. Get down the front for this or regret it for the rest of your life.

Sunday 28th August at The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival

If one band have been the epitome of all that the festivals represent in recent years then that band is FOO FIGHTERS. Having nearly collapsed the second stage tent on their debut Reading performance in 1995, Dave Grohl’s band have spent the intervening decade producing four multi platinum albums, some of the funniest and most inventive music videos ever made and, despite losing members and near death moments, have never lost the sense of fun that makes FOO FIGHTERS both a personal and musical triumph over Grohl’s past. With Grohl widely and rightly regarded as one of the most likeable men in rock, it is both an honour and a pleasure to announce FOO FIGHTERS ONLY ENGLISH FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES.

Friday 26th August at The Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival

For over 20 years IRON MAIDEN have been at the forefront of World Metal and one of the World's great live bands, headlining stadiums and major festivals all over the planet, selling over 60 million albums in the process. Renowned for massive Stage Productions and inspired musicianship, their first Reading appearance since headlining in 1982 promises to be a major event. And the band are ready for it. Says singer Bruce Dickinson;

“Following the great reception received by our recent DVD “ The Early Days”, which chronicled the Maiden story over the first four albums - Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast and Piece of Mind - we decided to give the fans a special treat on this Tour by playing material almost exclusively from these albums. There will be a lot of songs that fans have been asking us to play for years along with fan favourites like Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Hallowed be thy Name and The Trooper. In keeping with this we have put together a massive show where the stage sets, production, pyros and backdrops will recreate aspects of the shows we toured around those albums. Except bigger - much bigger!! And naturally Eddie will appear as special guest in various appropriate guises!! We are all very excited to be going back to Reading and intend to have a fantastic time and we’re sure the fans will too.”
These are IRON MAIDEN’s ONLY UK FESTIVAL PERFORMANCES, their first ones for over a year and only ones for at least a year after.

future is as bright as can possibly be.
