On 13th November Snow Patrol release new single "Set The Fire To The Third Bar" featuring guest vocalist Martha Wainwright. The song was written especially for Martha in the last week of recording current album "Eyes Open". By chance Martha was touring Ireland at the time. "I'm not a great believer in fate." Says Gary Lightbody. "But when someone called to say "She's here, in this country and she wants to sing it, that was definitely "a moment".

"Set The Fire To The Third Bar" is the follow-up to massive single "Chasing Cars". The band have also contributed a track to the Belle & Sebastian compiled 'Colours Are Brighter' album - a charity album of children's songs in aid of Save The Children.

Following the release of "Set The Fire To The Third Bar", the Patrol cap off their amazing year with a Sold Out UK arena tour including 2 nights at Wembley.
