Big Sur - "Desert Song" Single Review

News & Reviews
3. Big Sur Desert Song (12" - (Epic))
As soon as the opening track, Desert Song begins, alongside the crisp femininity of the lead vocalist Daniel Spencer, the influence of seventies flower power folk is undeniable. Citing influences from early 90s Seattle sounds to Dylan and Neil Young their music is quite dramatic, an odd blend of folk and pop that is destined to be warming the hearts of those who like their songs to be a song.
A touch twee in places and a touch Mike and the Mechanics these are songwriters at heart who know how to create an emotional catchy chorus, play a charming guitar lick and maybe get a hit. We shall be waiting with baited breath.
