5. Lorien Ghostlost (12" - Instant Karma) |
Being mentioned as a band you must hear in 2002 isnt exactly a bad start for the unlikely trio from Iceland, Italy and Western-Super-Mare (!). In fact its the kind of approval most bands only dream of. Picked up initially by Soft Cell manager Stevo, and now signed to leftfield label Instant Karma, Lorien seem destined for more than the average amount of press. Ghostlost, the follow on from their well received debut Shivering Sun, is an exhibition of emotional vocals, crescendo choruses and lustful guitars; angst driven rock at its best. |
