It’s not been a good month for Paul Weller, after having cancelled a large plethora of tour dates, due to illness, but with a new string of February tour dates under his belt, and this latest single from covers album Studio 150, he looks set to be back on form.
The latest in a string of experimental covers comes, comes in the shape of a warm, acoustic, mellowed down version of Sister Sledge’s disco stomper, “Thinking Of You.” Enough to warm you up on these
cold, dark nights, and with it’s infectiously catchy chorus, you will be able to enjoy a familiar sing-along even on those long journeys to work.
This latest offering is a brave and experimental number, which proves to be traditionally Weller, and very rewarding.
All proceeds to Children In Need, Thinking of You is out now.
