Ross and Paul Godfrey aka MORCHEEBA return from a two-year hiatus following 2003s platinum -selling greatest hits collection ‘Parts Of The Process’. The brand new single, WONDERS NEVER CEASE, will be released on May 2nd one week ahead of the release of their fifth album, ‘The Antidote’. It’s their first release for The Echo Label on their own imprint G&G Records and the first release with new singer Daisy Martey - formerly vocalist for the band Noonday Underground.

The ‘Wonders Never Cease’ Maxi CD(ECSCX164) and 12” (ECSY164) release come with a selection of remixes from Diabolical Brothers, Black Grass and Chicken Lips. The Maxi CD also features the video and a special U-Myx enhanced section that allows you to remix the single yourself.

Remarkably, despite selling over 5 million albums to date, Morcheeba have only ever had one top 40 single. ‘Wonders Never Cease’ provides a perfect intro to THE ANTIDOTE, which sees MORCHEEBA broaden their horizons beyond the downtempo sound with which they are still associated. THE ANTIDOTE is the sound of a band challenging and reinventing themselves embracing a whole raft of different influences and being far more adventurous than ever before. The record is more upbeat and raises the tempo to match the rough, edgy vocals that Daisy brings to the mix. The results are undeniably stamped with Morcheeba’s trademark mix of soul, funk and hip-hop, but now further coloured by a brazen acknowledgement of the band’s personal listening tastes.

THE ANTIDOTE is further proof that MORCHEEBA have the remedy.
