Louis XIV
The Best Little Secrets Are Kept

Although this was just a sampler of the album, I cannot wait to hear the full album. The 5 songs I have heard; God Killed the Queen, Louis XIV, Finding True Love is Blind, Paper Doll and Hey Teacher are all just as fantastic as each other. This is how an album should sound; this is how music should be played. This puts me in mind of Iggy Pop and The Stooges; it’s raw but not too raw, its American music without being too americanised and without trying to sound British. Never mind Oasis

making you want to pick up a guitar and learn how to play, Louis XIV makes me want to sound like them on guitar. It’s been a while since we have had the undoubtable talent and energy of Iggy and I think Louis XIV may well have that energy and talent. They sound like a cross between the stooges and the white stripes, just fantastic and super and all things good. This is a band that I will be definitely looking out for and I am looking forward to see what else they will produce for us.
