A major force in soul, hip hop, house, acid jazz, R&B and electronic music, King Britt has honed his writing and producing skills as an elite Artist/DJ for the better part of a decade, notably his years as Sylkworm for DIGABLE PLANETS.

King is the creative force behind the dynamic SYLK 130, which released it's acclaimed debut "When The Funk Hits The Fan" CD (Columbia) as well as the recent "Re-Members Only" CD featuring DE LA SOUL, VIKTER DUPLAI, URSULA RUCKER, ABC's MARTIN FRYE, DIGABLE PLANETS's C KNOWLEDGE and ALISON MOYET.

King recently finished writing/producing the upcoming afro-electronic OBA FUNKE "Cosmoafrique" CD (Karma Giraffe) featuring ZAP MAMA, DIVA BLUE, WUMNI and SCUBA. He also recently completed his KING BRITT "Beat Generation" hip hop CD (BBE) featuring BAHAMADIA, MADLIB and ISHMAEL BUTLER.

A prized remixer, King has contributed additional production and mixed singles for MACY GRAY, BEBEL GIBERTO, TORI AMOS, BRANDY, ZAP MAMA, MILES DAVIS, G LOVE & SPECIAL SAUCE, SUZANNE VEGA, ATTICA BLUES, SILENT POETS, ATJAZZ, I:CUBE, UNITED FUTURE ORGANIZAITON, ANANDA PROJECT, Q-BURNS ABSTRACT MESSAGE, TONY SCOTT, SI*SE, TWEAKER featuring DAVID SYLVIAN and THE PHILADELPHIA EXPERIMENT featuring ?UESTLOVE from THE ROOTS among others.

Britt produced and mixed the ROBIN S hit single "You Know How to Love Me". He recently produced the upcoming ROSE CD as well as co-produced a forthcoming track for DJ RAP.

King is about to release his upcoming deep house mix cd, SCUBA CD (OM), and will be doing a full-length SCUBA cd of original material due out next year.
