Kevin Lyttle is a ladies man and his lyrics hold a place for those ‘lover lover’ moments. That’s pretty much all he talks about. There’s no real depth or angst here. It’s about his sensitivity and emotion to the opposite sex. His delivery is certainly unique. A high pitched wail that is distinctive and strong. The chorus’s are catchy and based on an easy to understand pop formula. The music has unashamed use of synthesisers, upbeat funky rhythms and some guitar licks. There’s even use of steel pipes; a few featured ragga MC’s and a cover version of Terence Trent Darby’s ‘Sign Your Name.’ If you open your mind you can’t really be offended by this music. It’s light-hearted fun that has no other intention but to uplift and satiate an appetite to drink rum in the sun. www.kevinlyttle.com Tareck Ghoneim |
