Everyday I Love You Less And Less

2004 witnessed the national birth of the Kaiser Chiefs, whilst the onset of 2005 has been nothing short of what could be described as the Kaiser maelstrom...

Click here to watch the great video to the new track 'Everyday I Love You Less And Less' from the Kaiser Chiefs - out 16th May, taken from the album 'Employment' - OUT NOW!

In short, the band managed to storm the recent NME Shockwaves tour as openers, wowed new and old alike at the NME awards finale whilst also breaking into the Top 10 with ‘Oh My God’. The icing on the cake was the emergence of the band’s debut album ‘Employment’ - released to almost universal praise, including a raft of five star reviews - at Number 3, the culmination of a year long slog coming in from the wings and hitting everyone smack between the ears!

The band have also managed to impress Brits and locals at the annual South By South West shindig in Texas alongside another set of US live dates which continue to herald their arrival that side of the Atlantic - ‘Employment’ entered the Billboard Hot 100 week of release and is set to remain in the charts for some while yet. There was also the small matter of appearing as guests on the hugely influential ‘Letterman Show’, no mean feat for a band who have yet to release a single in the States!

Returning to these shores and it’s onwards and upwards for the Chiefs with the release of a new single, the opener from the album - ‘Everyday I Love You Less And Less’ on the back of a sold out UK tour and confirmation of various festival appearances in the UK. The summer months will also see European jaunt that will feature appearances with U2 as well as festivals and sets at Japan’s Fuji Rock and Lollapalooza in the States.

Musical magpies, the Kaisers cut ‘n’ paste the past three decades and make it their own and ‘Everyday...’ with it’s infectious pulsating keyboards intro and again boasting a naggingly unforgettable singalong chorus kicks into another top drawer pop hit.

Released on May 16th, ‘Everyday...’ is available on limited 7” vinyl b/w ‘The Letter Song’, CD1 is b/w a version of The Cribs’ ‘Another Number’ and CD2 comes with ‘Seventeen Cups’, ‘Not Surprised’ and the Tim Pope directed video for ‘Everyday...’
