Jamie Lidell - When I Come Back Around - Single Review

Future British legend Jamie Lidell releases ‘When I Come Back Around’ from his latest album ‘Mulitply’. This is one of my favourite tracks on the album as it really upbeat, infectious and groovy. It has classic P-Funk synth sounds that give an 80’s electro sound as well as a smooth groove similar to Prince. The use of slap bass works really well and there’s loads going on from the drums. Lidell sings like a raw soul singer with feeling that means business. This track works really well and has great potential in dance clubs as well possibly appealing to wider audiences. It’s fantastically funky, progressive and has all the attitude to make you groove. A breath of fresh air.
