(29/03/04 The Echo Label)

Elbow influenced indie is what the Engineers have conjured up for their much awaited debut single. The title track is traditional feel good music with snappy instrumentals that gives the song feeling and tenderness, without contracting the forced and soppy feel that has accompanied the attempt of many a band at this sort of stuff. The single is complemented by the positive and forward looking ‘New Horizons’ features piano fuelled instrumentals and unassumingly crisp vocals. These catapult the track to a tingling and meaningful level that makes you question its status as a B-side.
